i guiltily (a bit) admit to doing the former form of slacking. on my fourth history book since hols started, and i think i should (should) do some serious sort of mugging in the next two weeks if i want to do decently for blocks. i hate tests. nyanyanya. hate hate hate.

anyway. got the cd for purcell's semi-opera KING ARTHUR from esplanade library (thanks to kai!!!) which is really nice and somewhat catchy in a baroque sort of way. (to which mel drily commented that she had to think hard on how probable that was. but it's true!) there are some very nice choruses and some very nice solo parts as well. and though it's more or less not very valuable in a literary sense (since it's more or less a sort of fore-runner to musicals, and anyway it's really the music that matters.) the other cd was mozart string quintets... (TWO violas haha) and no kai they DO NOT SOUND LIKE BUZZING BEES. ggrr. and now bach scores. (more thanks to kai! love ya! platonically.) toccatas. though i think i won't be able to play them =S not good enough sigh.

and hm i saw stuff i think i want to buy today at kino and borders... um. shucks. money no enough aaagh. will have hole in wallet by next week when i get the courage to splurge it. money money money. need MORE. MORE MORE MORE. so i can buy what i want.

i think the more one listens to classical music the more one discovers in it. it's possible to go into so much so much depth. maybe that's how people manage to devote entire lives and careers to it.

junrong's tahan photos are pretty!

just a random thought: if i was born as tsar nicholas ii i don't think i would have reacted very differently from him in response to all the problems that were facing him at that time.

and btw i got pes D for now... and i took 3 hours to find that out. the paperwork was mountainous. felt like a cow being led to meat packing plant. and it was freezing half the time, just walking around in this (rather) small holding room looking silly, and above all, WAITING. i waited AEONS for them to tell me i got pes D. and i'll find out my pes status IN THREE FRIGGIN' MONTHS' TIME. hell. my heart murmurs. this probably means i'll die early. *shrugs* or then again, as the medic said, maybe not. and anyway i'll have to go down to alexandra hospital to do some ultrasound scan to verify that the medic doesn't have hearing problems.
