we do not blog on demand!!!
and 3 days isn't all that long a time.
3 days in which, taking advantage of the post-xmas sales, i have acquired 10 new cds (bad me!) and a new computer game. 3 days in which i have been playing CivCity: Rome watching pixellated romans in skirts.
maybe i like the game so much because i'm a perv.
but probably not. i'm not sure how good a guide to roman history sid meier is, but i did not notice hot romans in mini-skirts. this probably means that hot romans cover up, because they are a sado-masochistic people (colosseums, gladiators, and christians fed to the lions). either that or, equally plausibly, there are no hot romans.
among the myriad theories accounting for the fall of the roman empire there is one about the lead piping in roman cities. because the romans used lead to line their pipes delivering fresh water, they all ended up being lead poisoned. slowly, with each generation, they got more retarded and deformed and by the 4th century couldn't differentiate one end of the gladius from the other, let alone which end to poke at the invading barbarians. (picture a whole army of roman legionaries commiting hara-kiri while a small crowd of barbarians look bemusedly on at the gates of rome.) this is also a period which saw the greatest spread of christianity.
i always thought this theory was silly, because by the 4th century, most roman soldiers were barbarian anyway, and so the lead piping probably didn't matter.
if there were no hot romans, rome might well have died a slow death from low fertility rates.
and since there are no hot romans, i'm not a perv for playing a computer game entirely about pixellated men in skirts.
really.
and this post is crap because andre demanded it.
